1954
National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) was formerly known as
Taiwan Provincial Institute of Agriculture
1997
The Institute was renamed
NPUST
Its engineering departments were restructured to found the College of Engineering Science and Technology
1991
The Institute was promoted and renamed
National Pingtung Polytechnic Institute
Each engineering department was also established .
2000
NPUST
College of Engineering
The Ministry of Education agreed to rename the College of Engineering
